I have an interview for Event Sales and Marketing Trainee, what specific advice could you give me?

It is a new company. I'll be interviewed by the business developement manager or the managing director. I wish to study business management but don't know much about it. If I was asked about that, what should I consider as applicable answers?I have an interview for Event Sales and Marketing Trainee, what specific advice could you give me?
Don't ';prepare'; any answers. The interviewer has heard all the prepared answers 1,000 times. Answer from your heart. Take a second to think about the question, then answer. If you don't know, don't guess.

A new company will be struggling to squeeze into a crowded field. Be sure that you also apply at all the existing companies, too. They will have business for you on your first day. A new company won't have anything for you to do. That is why they are so concerned about ';entrepreneurial'; ability. They are looking to you to drum up business and that is really hard.I have an interview for Event Sales and Marketing Trainee, what specific advice could you give me?
You need to prepare for your interview in advance. Make sure you know exactly what they do and what they require in the candidate.

For this role, you need to have sound communication skills, so speak clearly. You may also be asked to conduct a presentation on something, so make sure you sharpen your presentation skills.

They may ask you to give them an example of a scenario where you are involved in a specific exhibition event so again, make sure you prepare for that.

In all fairness, it is a trainee position, so I don't think they will try and catch you out with difficult questions, you just need to show willingness for the role and that you are flexible in where you work and that you have the assertiveness to do the job.

Good luck

hi, during the interview, they are not testing what u did, they test what you can do. U need to appear in the interview as a lively bubbling young person with lot of energy. Ur eye movements, the body language should speak that you have commitment within you. That is more than enough. A general knowledge of what the company does, and related disciplines around your job, will be sufficient. Best of luck !
Go to yahoo search or google search and ask that Q answers you will get all the Business pages will open up and you ready and be able to get it right

Do you have any advice for running with a cold?

I have a cold and had to take two days off of work. Now (day three) I feel well enough to work and I'm just mostly just congested. Do you think it would be a good idea to run today (6 miles) or should I wait. Also, on Saturday I'm supposed to run 13 miles for a marathon I'm training for and I'm wondering about that too.Do you have any advice for running with a cold?
When you have a cold it does depend what type of cold you have -

If your symptoms are located above the neck -- a stuffy or runny nose, sneezing -- then exercise is probably safe. Start slowly, and if you feel better after 10 minutes, continue, if you feel worse, stop. If you have below-the-neck symptoms, for example, muscle aches, hacking cough, fever of 100 degrees or higher, chills, diarrhea, or vomiting, you should avoid exercise. Exercising when you have these symptoms may raise your temperature, dehydrate you, and weaken you further. A sore throat could go either way, and you need to see how your energy and strength level is. Whatever your symptoms are, if you're feeling really weak, it's better not to exercise because when your body is fighting an infection, you could suffer a setback, plus your performance would be greatly diminished and you probably wouldn't be getting very much out of the workout.

I have ran during my head colds and generally feel pretty good its when its a chest cold is when I take a rest and recover before going out running again.

Good luck and hope you feel better - run happy and train smart:)

  • What is the best advice you can give someone going to an Interview ?

I have one tomorrow !!What is the best advice you can give someone going to an Interview ?
You already have the job, you just don't know it.

What is the best advice you can give someone going to an Interview ?
    Just DON'T BE YOURSELF!

-and (if you're a girl): look at the person's eyes ALL THE TIME except occasional looking to your left while you're need to talk for a bit longer.

-and (if you're a dude): you don't stand a chance. (Cause clothing companys don't hire straight males, right?)

Occasional smiles ONLY while you're talking, and don't forget; if they're looking someone reliable, while you're listening to person: puff your lips (like teens in america do nowadays), but JUST A BIT, they tend to overdo it, to get a serious look.

prepare what you are going to say:

why do you want this job?

what are your strengths and weaknesses?

where do you see yourself in 5 years?

describe how you overcame a challenge?

how would you lead a team?

    etc

remember, the interview could be a new experience for them as well.
    Keep calm.

Always look at the interviewer when answering questions.

If you need to pause before answering a question, so you can think, then don't be afraid to do so.

    Sit up straight.

    GOOD LUCK.
Tell them you're honored to be there. If they ask your preference on pay, etc., answer ';open';. Don't present yourself as arrogant.
Be real, be honest, be clean, and don't use a lot of perfume. Thats it.
Firm hand shake and look them strait in there eyes when you talk.

    GOOD LUCK
yer ask how many immigrants work there if say lots you know they like cheap labour
    in a word..relax

Do you have any advice to give in starting a new gift boutique business?

My sister and I are considering starting up a new venture and eventually opening up our own business. We both, for years, have been crafty and creative and she has her own line of bath products and I have my line of gift baskets and gifts in a jar. Do you have any advice or tips you might want to share? We are in the Central Valley in California and would have even thought about more or less Internet selling to begin with, but obviously we are pretty new to the retail selling part outside of bazaars and boutiques both locally as well as those we travel to. Any thoughts? Thank you much!Do you have any advice to give in starting a new gift boutique business?
Do lots of homework into finding the right shop and the legalities of forming a partnership, etc. If you can do it, get a job in a boutique part time to see how things work and don't work. I made the mistake of starting a business without fully researching the market, and I lost a lot of money. Make sure that you have enough capital that you are willing to lose for a year. Sometimes a business takes time to get off the ground. But you have to be willing to lose that capital if the business does not get anywhere.

You might consider working from your garage and selling in a home shop via ebay, your own web site or Amazon.com. You would have a minimum overhead and could then build up a clientele.

I wish you lots of luck and enjoyment from your venture.Do you have any advice to give in starting a new gift boutique business?
You may want to consider a website to expand your business.

Does anyone have any advice/suggestions figuring out who you are?

I have been having a rough couple of months/years. I lack self-confidence and am actively trying to change my life. I think that figuring out who I am will get my laugh back on track. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I could go about doing this? I thought about trying to do a volunteer vacation or getting away from work/everything in my life and really concentrate on figuring out who I am and what I want to do with my life. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Does anyone have any advice/suggestions figuring out who you are?
I'm sorry you are having a rough time.

I think that having someone to confide in would be good for you.

Have you ever seen a psychologist or psychiatrist? You may not need medication at all--so a psychologist may be the better choice.

Figuring out who we are and finding the meaning of our lives is a common concern for many, many people--so you are not alone.

I would try and give serious thought to what you really like to do--as far as a career choice. For some people it really doesn't matter--it is simply an income to pay the bills.

For me it was important, and psychiatry became my choice.

I also am in the Program, which gives me so much support--it teaches me to live in the moment. I don't worry about yeaterday, as it is over and gone. I can't control it, I can't change it.

Same thind for 'tomorrow'. There is no reason to fret about it.

All I can do is deal with today.

Good luck.Does anyone have any advice/suggestions figuring out who you are?
what you're thinking of is called escapism.

the probably is your lack of self-confidence. no matter where you travel to you still have to deal with yourself, and it's possible the wrong environment might make you feel even worse.

start for the bottom up. what makes you lack confidence? what do you believe about yourself that really isn't true at all? do you think you're unlovable, etc.? you need to change the way you think about yourself and your life. my wild guess is that you need to accept that your life has gone the way you would like it to have. accept it. it's alright. you can move on.

the better you start to feel about yourself, the more likely it will be you'll find interests in and meaning for yourself.
