My education is being ruined can you give advice?

In maths we had a swap around like my top set is being swapped with the middle set. So like we have their maths tutor.

He is Utterly the WORST teacher. We do no work, nothing. And when we do he never explains it. I want my old teacher back. But how this is on for the rest of the year.My education is being ruined can you give advice?
My children are home educated, partly because of this sort of thing. I would say that of all subjects, Maths is particularly suited to learning outside school, because unlike many of the others, you don't need loads of physical resources to do it. Your education is really up to you; it's about being enthusiastic and willing to learn, not to do with teachers. You may have got used to the way it's done in school but it doesn't have to be that way.

I don't know what stage you're at or if you're doing GCSE or whatever, but i imagine you know. Go to www.qca.org.uk and find your part of the maths syllabus and download it. Then, go to the library (or stay online) and find the right books which cover the subject, or of course you may have these already, but if you use others it might help because you could see them from a different angle. You could then find someone online or in your everyday life, maybe through this site or somewhere else, who is enthusiastic and keen on maths and maybe has experience of tutoring at a distance. Try studying the stuff on your own and when you hit a problem, consult them.

Most of the time, you don't really need to do things the way they're done at school. In the end it's down to you to learn, and there's no reason you shouldn't be able to do it.

I hope that helps. My education is being ruined can you give advice?
Thanks for choosing my answer. It's more a question of confidence and study skills than anything else. You can do it.
